Privacy notice
Last updated 17 October 2026
What we collect when you use this site, why we hold it, who sees it, how long we keep it, and how to have it corrected or removed.
Homlee Assist is the owner service of Homlee Enterprises Private Limited (“Homlee”, “we”, “us”). This notice covers www.homleeassist.com and the emails we send from it. Homlee’s guest booking site, homlee.co, has its own terms.
What we collect
When you ask for a valuation
Your first and last name, email address, phone number if you give one, the address of the home, the number of bedrooms, whether it is listed now, the service you are interested in, anything you write in the notes, and whether you asked for market notes.
When you join the Monthly Ledger
Your email address, the form you signed up on, the date you joined and, if you leave, the date you unsubscribed.
When you use the site
To stop the forms being abused, we count requests from each connection. We store a one-way hash of the IP address, never the address itself, and each count is deleted when its window closes, within 24 hours. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (IP address, page and time) for security and to keep the site running.
What we do not collect
We run no analytics, no advertising and no tracking pixels, and visitors get no cookies. The one cookie on this site signs our own staff into the journal studio.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry. We use what you send to prepare a valuation and reply to you. You give it to us for that purpose.
- To send the Monthly Ledger. Only if you signed up, and only until you unsubscribe. Every issue has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- To keep the site secure. The request counts and logs above, to stop spam and abuse.
- To manage your home. If you become a client, the management agreement covers the further information we need.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Who sees it
Our team, and the companies that run the services this site depends on, each only for the job it does for us:
- Amazon Web Services hosts the site and the forms.
- MongoDB Atlas holds the database of enquiries and subscribers.
- Google Workspace delivers our emails.
- An email newsletter service sends the Monthly Ledger, if we use one for an issue.
Some journal images are served by Unsplash, which sees your IP address when your browser loads them, as any image host does. We share personal data with anyone else only where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process data on servers outside India. Where they do, they are bound by contract to protect it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: for 24 months after we last hear from you, unless you become a client, when the management agreement takes over.
- The Monthly Ledger list: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your address, marked as unsubscribed, so it is never added back by mistake.
- Request counts: deleted automatically within 24 hours.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop using it for something you agreed to, such as the Monthly Ledger.
These include your rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and under the GDPR if you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom. Write to admin@homlee.co. We acknowledge every request within 7 days and answer within 30.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, write to admin@homlee.co and a named person on our team will deal with it. If we cannot resolve it, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to the data protection authority where you live.
How we protect it
The site is served only over an encrypted connection. Access to the database and to our inboxes is limited to the people who need it, and the passwords and keys our systems use are kept out of our code. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
This site is for homeowners and is not aimed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this notice
When this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will email you before it takes effect.
